VERSO, an innovative international school in Bangkok came to Fluxus in early 2020 with a complex integration project. The school assigned our developers with the task of combining all the online digital systems used in everyday operation into a seamless, multi-layered digital framework.

The Fluxus team got to work designing a digital architecture that synchronized between and collected information from each of these systems, all in a single integration hub called VERSO Gateway. This included already-established systems for HR, learning management, and student information, could be conveniently presented in a single location.

In addition to this, due to a heavy emphasis on cybersecurity, our developers created digital keycards connected to the system, based on Thailand’s existing “Rabbit” transit card framework. These cards were to be used for students’ transportation, class attendance logging, on-campus payment, and a digital location track between each point of use, generating automated security emails for parents.

The whole system was built using a microservices approach, using a combination of AWS Serverless solution Lambda, as well as DynamoDB and API Gateway. Development took on a Continuous Integration and Continuous Development workflow, integrating other AWS services for this such as CodeCommit and CodePipeline.
