True Corporation is a leading Thai telecommunications conglomerate. During an expansion, a segment of the company, TrueDigital, was looking to build an editorial platform with content submitted by the community. Fluxus was brought on to help lead the project.

Acting as a lead in both technology and project management, it was up to Fluxus to select technologies that would both prove product-market fit as soon as possible, and allow the development team to work at a quick pace. The project, which was to be part of the larger True ecosystem, understandably had a lot of core requirements. It had to support multiple workflows and logins (publisher and editorial), and be able to scale without constant major technology refactoring. The Fluxus team presented multi-cloud as the hosting solution, working between AWS and GCP. They selected Drupal as a core CMS, and settled on a React-based front end to display content. With the technology selected, the team moved forward on building an initial proof-of-concept iteration.

The preliminary “OnScene” platform was launched after 30 days, and the project moved into the next phase: a rebrand and integration into True’s ecosystem. The platform was renamed “TrueID In-Trend”, and a single sign-on with other True services was implemented. In-Trend was able to scale successfully, growing in excess of a million users. Aside from the core features, AI-based content moderation tools were added to ensure a solid future for the platform. The platform continues to grow today.
